Surfing The Web Anonymously

When you surf the web it is possible to learn information about you even when you don't want to advertise who you are. This is true even if your system contains no virus or malware software. Specifically information that is easily available online includes your IP address, your country (and often more location information based on IP address), what computer system you are on, what browser you use, your browser history, and other information. It gets worse. People can get your computer's name and even find out your name if your machine supports programs like finger or identd. Also, cookies can track your habits as you move from machine to machine.
How do people get this basic information about you?
When you visit another web site, information about you can be retrieved. Basically, information is intercepted and used by others to track your Internet activities.
How do you stop this from happening?
First of all, it is possible to serf the web anonymously and thereby stop leaving a trail for others to find. Note that this is not fool-proof, but it makes it much harder for people to know who you are. There are products called anonymous proxy servers that help protect you. The anonymous proxy server replaces your Internet address for its own. This has the effect of hiding your IP address and making it much harder for people to track you.
How do I get an anonymous proxy server?
There are many vendors who sell anonymous proxy servers. There are also free proxy servers available to you. Two such products are ShadowSurf and Guardster. Guardster (http://www.guardster.com/) offers various services for anonymous and secure access to the web, some paid as well as a free service. ShadowSurf (http://www.shadowsurf.com/) ShadowSurf provides anonymous surfing at their site for free. Go to it and you will find a box to enter a URL that you want no one to track. There are many others, but here are two that are frequently used.
Trojan Horse, Greek Myth or Computer Nemesis?

We have all heard the term Trojan Horse, but what exactly is it? A Trojan Horse is a destructive program that masquerades as a harmless application. Unlike viruses, Trojan Horses do not replicate themselves, but they can be just as destructive. One of the most dangerous examples of a Trojan is a program that promises to rid your computer of viruses but instead introduces viruses into your computer.
The Trojan can be tricky. Who hasn’t been online and had an advertisement pop up claiming to be able to rid your computer of some nasty virus? Or, even more frightening, you receive an email that claims to be alerting you to a new virus that can threaten your computer. The sender promises to quickly eradicate, or protect, your computer from viruses if you simply download their “free”, attached software into your computer. You may be skeptical but the software looks legitimate and the company sounds reputable. You proceed to take them up on their offer and download the software. In doing so, you have just potentially exposed yourself to a massive headache and your computer to a laundry list of ailments.
When a Trojan is activated, numerous things can happen. Some Trojans are more annoying than malicious. Some of the less annoying Trojans may choose to change your desktop settings or add silly desktop icons. The more serious Trojans can erase or overwrite data on your computer, corrupt files, spread other malware such as viruses, spy on the user of a computer and secretly report data like browsing habits to other people, log keystrokes to steal information such as passwords and credit card numbers, phish for bank account details (which can be used for criminal activities), and even install a backdoor into your computer system so that they can come and go as they please.

KUALA LUMPUR — Malaysia’s biggest mobile service provider, Maxis, aims to raise as much as $3.65 billion in the biggest initial public offering in the country, despite a cooling off in demand for Asian listings following China’s flurry of offerings.
Maxis, which will sell 30 percent of its existing share capital in the I.P.O., has set an indicative price range of between 4.80 ringgit to 5.50 ringgit a share, or $1.40 to $1.60, according to a term sheet obtained by Reuters on Friday.
The deal comes to market at a time when demand for I.P.O.’s has slightly soured. The South Korean company Posco Engineering & Construction canceled its planned $926 million offering this past week, citing disappointing interest from investors.
In Hong Kong, Evergrande, a developer based in Guangzhou, dramatically cut its fund-raising target to just $828 million, from $2.1 billion.
The share offer by Maxis comprises a tranche of 2.037 billion shares for institutional investors, more than 90 percent of the total, and a retail investor portion of 212.3 million shares. The company kicked off its institutional book-building process for the I.P.O. on Friday.
The term sheet showed Maxis will set aside about a third of the offering for cornerstone investors who will be subjected to a six-month lock-up period.
The I.P.O. offers “limited upside” in terms of share price gain, said Kevin Low, analyst at Affin Investment Bank, which is based in Kuala Lumpur.

Having successfully met the target of 25% population coverage in Peninsula, Malaysia’s No. 1 WiMAX telco gets the green light to also roll out in East Malaysia.
KUALA LUMPUR - Packet One Networks (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. (“P1”), Malaysia’s first and leading WiMAX telco, announced today that it has received the necessary approvals to also roll out its P1 W1MAX service in East Malaysia.
“The deployment of WiMAX broadband is crucial in achieving the national household broadband penetration target of 50% by 2010. WiMAX operators play an important role in meeting this objective and must work towards meeting or exceeding the targets committed”, said Michael Lai, Chief Executive Officer, P1.
In the spirit of 1Malaysia and P1’s mission to get as many Malaysians as possible to join the WiMAX Revolution, the P1W1MAX roll out will begin simultaneously in Sabah and Sarawak in Q1 2010. East Malaysians in the cities such as Kuching, Miri, Bintulu, Kota Kinabalu, Sandakan and Tawau will be able to enjoy the freedom of P1W1MAX broadband as early as in Q2 2010.
“East Malaysia is a market of tremendous importance to P1. We’re truly excited and feeling very gung ho about empowering the people of both Sabah and Sarawak with WiMAX soon,” said Lai.
P1 W1MAX is primed to meet the tremendous demand for broadband in Sabah and Sarawak. “The household broadband penetration rates of only 13.6% in Sarawak and 9.5% in Sabah at the end of 2008 are still very low compared to the national average. We are looking forward to meeting a massive demand for quality broadband in both states, whilst spreading the benefits of next-generation high-speed wireless broadband!” Lai explained.
With the fastest wireless broadband network in the country, P1 expects to contribute positively to East Malaysia’s economy, especially within the SME/SMI community and local state industries such as tourism.

Top 5 Ways To Generate Low Cost Website Traffic

There is one hard and fast rule in generating income for your website: A steady flow of website traffic. If no one goes to your site, it hardly bares a chance of generating an income. Many sites have tried and failed in doing so, and these results to the sites demise. It takes money to maintain an income generating site; it also takes money to make money.
BUT, it doesn’t take a whole caboodle of cash to generate website traffic for your site.
Ever wonder how does big hit sites drive traffic top their site? Most of them are spending tons of money to drive the traffic to their sites, investing in many advertising campaigns and different forms of marketing schemes and gimmickries. This is all worthwhile because, well, they are what they are now, high earning, big hitting websites.
You don’t have to do this if you don’t really have their resources. There are many ways to generate low cost website traffic without having to spend what you don’t have or can’t afford. Many people have banked on high cost methods and have ended up losing their shirt over it.
Here I present to you the Top five ways to generate low cost website traffic that could help your site a whole lot. Even if you only get a small percentage of successful visitors in to client ratio it still works especially if you get a high number of website traffic.
Exchange Links
This is a sure and proven method. Rarely would you see a site where there is no link to another site. Many webmasters are willing to exchange links with one another so that they could produce more public awareness about their sites. You’ll soon see and feel the sudden upsurge of the traffic coming in to your site from other sites.
A major prerequisite in exchanging links with other sites is having the same niche or content as the other site. They should share a common subject so that there is continuity in the providing of service and information to what interests your target traffic.
Exchanging links also boosts your chances of getting a high ranking in search engine results. It is common knowledge that search engines ranks high sites that have inbound and outbound theme-related links. With a good ranking position in the search engines, you will generate more traffic in your website without the high costs.
Traffic Exchange
This is like exchanging links but on a different higher level. This may cost a bit more than exchanging or trading links but could be made cheaper because you get to earn credits. You can use those credits when viewing others traffic, while you earn credits when someone views yours.

What's New On Maxis Broadband ?

What's new in Maxis Broadband? Let's see, As in my opinion and probably Estimated Maxis Broadband user from Celcom broadband far less. But Maxis Broadband is now making more campaign against their product. Not matter with a lower monthly payment, free modem and various rebates. Let's see more and find up your dream package in Maxis Broadband. For the packages including a modem, Maxis Broadband is now offering with 5 attractive options. You can chose which one is your dream package. But here i want talk about the 1.5Gb package, let's find the correct choice.
My own comment on Maxis Broadband package for RM58 it is quite interesting, but there have less attractive. The reasons is, if there is no restriction on the use of speed with the quota of 1.5Gb and I think to simply open the email and normal internet browse only. if I want look the online video streaming, the quota is not enough even the speed is fast, because you should remember the quota is only 1.5Gb. When the quota limit has been reached, your broadband speed is getting slow. So, with the monthly payments of RM58 is not quite unsatisfactory. I think better use Celcom Broadband RM68 per/month 5GB quota even though the speed of 384Kbps.
Device package that's mean modem are included.

Cast in this movie Amanda Peet, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Danny Glover, John Cusack.

Malaysia’s leading WiMAX telco embarks on next major phase of its subscriber acquisition strategy; on track to more than double its subscriber base.
KUALA LUMPUR - Packet One Networks (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. (“P1”), Malaysia’s first and leading WiMAX telco, is once again challenging the Malaysian broadband landscape with the “Potong Now!” campaign. This marks the beginning of the second phase of its subscriber acquisition strategy, which will feature groundbreaking and innovative P1 W1MAX customer packages and unique marketing programs as P1 moves to win over the early majority for its WiMAX broadband service.
The “Potong Now!” campaign kicks off with the first initiative called “Promo M”, which invites all non-P1 W1MAX broadband users to bring their current broadband bill and with it sign up for P1 W1MAX service. Those subscribers will enjoy the RM160 registration and activation fees waiver and complimentary 1st month of service (provided they meet the stipulated terms and conditions).
The P1 W1MAX packages available under the “Promo M” include all Home and Office packages, with the exception of Home Lite and all WIGGY plans. And to further sweeten the deal, all “Promo M” packages will have a 30-day cooling off period, which is the longest ever offered by P1.
"We believe in continuously making things better and easier for Malaysians who are clamouring for better broadband at even better affordability. The “Potong Now!” campaign packages will be not only budget-friendly but will also really cut down on the hassle of switching service providers”, said Michael Lai, CEO of Packet One Networks (M) Sdn. Bhd. “More significantly, this marks the start of the next major phase in our drive to empower more Malaysians with the wonders of P1 W1MAX - the largest and fastest growing wireless service in the country with new coverage areas introduced almost every day”
