Celcom Promotes Broadband Via Limo Drivers
Celcom (M) Bhd hopes to boost its broadband prepaid business by launching the Celcom Broadband Branded Airport Limo, targeting frequent visitors and tourists who use the KL International Airport.
Chief marketing officer Chee Pok Jin said since the Celcom Broadband Prepaid package was offered in March, about 300,000 subscribers had signed up.
“Our marketing efforts to boost the subscription of Celcom broadband will continue and, so far, the product is growing aggressively,” he said at the launch of the airport limo campaign yesterday.
Chee said the company invested nearly RM1mil in the six-month programme and, although the amount was not really huge, the return was expected to be much higher.
“The drivers will also become ambassadors for Celcom by introducing and answering enquiries from commuters as well selling Celcom Broadband Prepaid packs and other prepaid products. Apart from that, they will also earn extra income selling our products to the commuters,” he said.
He said the prepaid package was not only helping customers to enjoy extensive nationwide coverage and high-speed connectivity at an affordable price, this ready-to-use package was also giving them the choice to stay connected anytime and anywhere.
