Celcom Broadband Setting

To setup the (Modem / Datacard) for broadband connection is not to hard. Here, are the steps to set your  device configuration for Celcom 3G broadband. This configuration is work for all type of modem if you have a knowledge about it.

  • Refer to the manual on how to install the software and the driver.
  • On your desktop, you will see a Celcom Broadband icon (Celcom Broadband icon will appear if you are using original modem provide by Celcom). Double click it to open dashboard application.
  • If there ask a pin code, enter 1234 (this is the default PIN unless you have changed the PIN). If not, just follow another step.
  • Go to Tools and select option, there you can see General | Test message | Profile Management | Network.
  • Then go to network, to choose network type. Select WCDMA preferred, why WCDMA preferred? this will allow the network automatic change from 3G to EDGE when 3G coverage sometime not available at your location.
  • Click apply if you are ready change the network and go to profile management and configure connection setting.
  1. Click New and enter the profile name. Eg: Celcom 3G.
  2. Authentication – key in access number *99#
  3. Username: NO username
  4. Password: NO password
  5. DNS Settings choose Dynamic.
  6. APN and Additional Settings: Static - APN: celcom3g
  7. IP Settings: Dynamic
  8. Authentication Protocol: CHAP
  9. WINS Settings: Dynamic
  • Click on Save button and Ok to accept the configuration.
  • Finally, click Connect and start surfing with your Celcom broadband.

  1. what about network type? gsm/ wdcma . which i have to choose? i suscribed d98 emm but i get d68 only

    All people will usually choose WCDMA. Because if you select GSM, you will get GPRS and EDGE speed only. After that if you a customer who subscribed to D98 package, but the speed you get is same with D68. First, check your coverage. what reason is?. If your area does not have a HSDPA coverage, you will gain speed same with D68 package.

  4. Hbs da setting mcm tu, x kn nk ubat celcom4g kot..Call aku saje...setting celcom pe ko nak tp i bkn celcom customer service aku cume celcom sales representatives jek...lebih2 ko tanye aku pun x gune sbb aku x di bayar..kalo ko nak sign up,beli modem blh arr aku layan ko lebih2...

    P/S : mangkuk lain kali write ur name..kalo xde alu panggil mangkuk jek..

    The system wont allow me to changed like u mentioned below. Is there anyway that I can crack / hack this software so that I can enable it?

  7. i m using windows 7 but my celcom broadband not function. before this when i use windows vista, it have no problem at all. can someone help me how to set up broadband on windows 7?

  9. mcm na aku nk dptkan balik software nie... aku terupdate ke vodafone, secara tak sengaja, sbb aku pakai win 7.. aku igt, bila install software nie, yang built in software asal tak kacau, tp len plak jdnya, aku pnya pakej yang free modem tu... byar rm 100,.

  17. saya baru beli broadband petang tadi..dalam pukul 3-4 mcm tu la..saya dh follow step yang awk bagi ni..tp stil juga tak boleh on9..ke saya kena tunggu 24hrs br blh guna..bila sy connect je, dia keluar mcm ni " u cant connect b4 register an available network"..hope awk dpt membantu

  21. Celcom Band untuk pakej 48 sebulan bila dah sampai 1 GB penggunaan, lepas tu limit 10kbps je!

  25. macam mane nak tukar edge celcom ke hspda?
    sya dh cuba klik kat network tapi tak bole adjust langsung.dh lock.
    sblum ni ok sya guna hspda tp berape ari lepas ade problem x leh connect (error-68)sya contact customer careline dia soh tukar edge.diaorg ckp dlm 2-3 jam 3G akan ok.so pe sya perlu buat

  26. i tgk ada 2 software untuk celcom broadband nie
    satu celcom broadband manager and satu lagi celcom broadband sahaja. bile i tgk hanya software celcom broadband yang ada WCDMA.

    dlm huawei usb stick saya, hanya ada celcom broadband manager. mana yang boleh download untuk software celcom broadband SAHAJA.
